The Bobcat Energy Center is a proposed energy storage facility designed to safely store and deliver energy to the electric grid when it is needed most.
The facility will include battery enclosures along with supporting electrical equipment necessary to store energy and deliver energy back to the grid. This equipment is not dissimilar from what can be found at electrical substations throughout the region.
The project is designed with setbacks from neighboring property lines, and screening measures will be incorporated to reduce visibility from nearby roads and properties. The image to the left is East Point’s Citrus Flatts project in South Texas, and is representative of a project design with similar components.
